"Yes, yes, let's talk about the weather..."

At the moment, Australian weather is playing too many tricks on us. It has finally decided that it IS time for Summer, and so the hot weather has turned itself on. And here I was, less than a week ago, complaining that it didn't know what it was doing. Trust!

Anyway...

The final full week of my prac starts tomorrow. I have 7 more days to go before I have completed it, and then I am on holidays! I have about ten more classes to teach on the prac, which makes me feel very slack in some ways. The Year 10 classes are very easy, which makes me think, I have to come up with some more information about Iraq by tomorrow afternoon. I have Year 9 again tomorrow, which will be a lot of fun, considering I don't think that they will have done their homework. Oh well. I'll see how it goes.

Next Wednesday, though, I'll not be going to school. I can sleep in, for a change. Yay! I can't wait. But...I do have to try to get some work. I haven't yet called my contact for getting me work here and there, but I will be doing so very shortly, so that it is all good. :) I should probably call her now, but I can't, so I won't...etc...

Okay then, well...nothing else, really, to talk about, except...GO THE AUSSIES, in the cricket.

Ciao...

It's meant to be close on Summer...

And it is still as cool as the beginning of September. Oh well...at least last week there were a few very warm days...Anyway...I haven't written on here since Rememberance Day, so let's see what I can tell you about life at the moment...

Well, life is going on, as normal, here in Sydney, Australia. Nothing exciting is happening, in other words.

Practicum is continuing on in it's normal fashion, with kids trying to get away with bad behaviour, and me not always being able to get them to behave. What's new? :)

Year 9 were particularly bad today. It was the last two periods of the day, and, well, they were just rather feral, and not wanting to do anything. They have homework for Monday, and I'll be checking. Muah, ha, ha, ha, haaaaa!!! Too bad for them, if they haven't done it. :>

Anyway, choir practices are a bit of fun, and funnily enough, another teacher from the History department (this time) was in the same choir until about two years ago. This world is getting a bit smaller every day. It's not fair. 'I don't like it...' No...it's not that bad, I suppose.

I go on holidays in about two weeks. A little less. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up some work during the period before Christmas, and some during January and February - give me some money for Uni books, etc.

Next year, I don't know what I'm going to be doing with myself for half of Uni. I have four subjects (compared to the seven I had this last semester), and one of them is a prac. That means three subjects...and one of them is external. Which means two subjects internal, which will probably equate to about four or five hours Up Top each week. I don't really see the point of being in Armidale, except I need to be there.

Anyway...enough with the work stuff. Seeya'...

Third Time Lucky...

Welll, this is actually the fourth time, now as I just typed something, and it is now all gone. So, here goes trying to remember what I wrote, right? :)

Prac - it is going well. I started it on Monday, and I taught two lessons today. Year 8 were first and second period and Year 7 were seventh period. Boring. No, not really. Year 8 were good, and I was able to get them to do their work. They just needed to be able to settle down, and I did that, and the teacher was really pleased with the work that I did with them. That was good. The teacher supervising me for that class, as well as the Year 10 class that I have tomorrow is an ex Jannali High teacher, and I didn't expect that. It was kind of weird walking into the staffroom the first day and seeing him there. Anyway...he is teaching me, once again. Scary thought.

Year 7 were in seventh period, and very unsettled. They don't have much respect for the teacher or what they are saying. They don't have much discipline, so I'm going to see what I can do about that while I'm there. Hopefully I'll be able to get them to do some work while on prac. :)

There are two teachers in the staffroom, also, that have taught at Sydney Tech High. Scary, isn't Peter. :) And one of them remembers both you and Andrew. The other teacher left Tech before either of you started there. He is the head teacher at Kirrawee for HSIE. So...what do you think about that?

Anyway, must go an prepare for tomorrow. Got Year 10 to teach during 3/4 periods. Have fun storming the castle, and wish me good luck in teaching Geography on Iraq. Why anyone would be interested in that place, who knows!? :)

Seeya',
Nelle! :)

Well, it's getting towards the end of the year at UNE. Exams are approaching, but nothing major for me at the moment. I have assignments I have to do first. Plus, I only have one exam, on the 18th November. Unfortunately, that is right in the middle of my Second Prac for this year.

I've prac'ed at Quirindi High so far, and now I'm going to go into Kirrawee High on the 8th November for four weeks, + a couple of days.

Anyway, assignments await, as well as going Up Top to do some researching about certain things. Ciao.

This is me.

Hello there, how's it going?

I see that you have stumbled onto my little own piece of the internet. Nothing exciting happening, though, as you can probably tell.

Anyway...life in Armidale is pretty enjoyable at the moment, apart from the usual assignments, etc, that life deals to you while at Uni, so...I'll be going now.

Ciao.
