21st Birthday Parties

This last weekend I attended the 21st birthday of one of my good friends, Kirstyn. She actually turned 21 about two weeks ago, but because of everyone finishing off Uni for the semester, and things like that, she didn't have it until now.

Her family are really nice. They organised a home DVD of pictures of her growing up (that ran for about 75 minutes) set to music, I thought was a really good idea. Mum has done portfolios of photos for the three of us, but a DVD, that is really inspirational. They collected photos from friends and relatives and set them to a song or two for each year of her life. It was done in a slideshow arrangement, and really well thought out.

I had to travel to up to Lake Macquarie for the birthday, which is about two hours away from where I live in Sydney. It was a good trip, though, because I didn't have any rain. However, there was a lot of wind - those isobars were really close together. :) The Mooney Mooney bridge, though, wasn't too bad, it was other areas where the wind could get in and be annoying which was more difficult. Also, the other drivers on the road! Grrr...some of them can be annoying. Maybe they have French ancestors (j/k).

Anyway, all in all, I had a good weekend, staying overnight at some relations living up in the area (only five minutes from the party house, too), and having an enjoyable time catching up with some friends that I haven't seen for a couple of years, since they finished uni and moved away. I hope that I have as much fun at my next 21st birthday party that I've been invited to. :)
