Today I went out to Bass and Flinders Point for some fun. There is a walk along the headland that is quite enjoyable and very nice as a path for exercising. Anyway, if I figure out how to upload the video I took I'll add that in as well, but here are the photos for today.

We really do have some nice views in The Shire. Especially the houses that live along the Esplanade, overlooking this area.
If it's one thing some women can't decide on it's who is the best hero out of certain shows. It is easily the case for two certain gentlemen who have been in several shows before and after the roles they are depicted in below. However, for fans of period drama shows, these two gentlemen (the characters, not the men) are definitely up there are the definitive hero. Who can, after all, dispute that Fitzwilliam Darcy (Colin Firth, Pride and Prejudice, 1995) and John Thornton (Richard Armitage, North and South, 2004) aren't two of the nicest guys out there?
So...if it came down to choosing, who would you pick? The quiet, brooding, well-mannered but shy...hang on...isn't that both of them? At times, definitely. Oh dear...they certainly are qualities women go for when escaping in a book.

So...today's photo is not very exciting, or anything flash. But it's important to think about. You never know when you might need one, you never know when it might come in handy. So...today's photo is as follows:
Don't knock it. It's a first aid kit for the car. You never know when those skills you have learned sometime in the past (if you're a teacher, or had some training for some reason), or when the book provided, will help you in helping someone when they are in need of aid. I'm not going to go so far as to say "save someone's life". That would be unlikely. But yes...it could come in handy sometime when you least expect it.

Today was me being boring, but adding a little bit of ambiance to my room. So, the photo today is of that. Couldn't choose which one to put up, so putting two up. If you want to know where I got them from: Typo. It's a store like kikki.k, the stationary shop, except cheaper.
I have just received an e-mail, and had to investigate more...
A social experiment using one of the finest young violinists in America took place in April 2007. The experiment was to see if people would stop and appreciate the music he played in a busy Washington D.C. metro (underground) station. He had roughly 22 people stop to listen to him, and appreciate his playing, and raised around $US32.
Considering Joshua Bell can play to packed concert halls, each ticket equating to somewhere between $US50 and $US100, it can possibly be determined that we don't take the time to appreciate fine music. Not only that, we don't take time to, not relax, but to savour those moments worth remembering and appreciating. (There's that word again.) Perhaps it's time to take a moment, enjoy a show (all 2:36 of it), and watch how people don't even realise what a wonderful musician can accomplish on a Stradivarius Violin (worth $3.5mil).
Take time, people, to stop and smell the roses, as well as appreciate and savour the moment. It's worth it, sometimes, and you might not even realise who you're watching, or why what you're viewing is so wonderful... It's great because it just is... (Yeah, great grammar, I know...but I don't care!)
